About 2Pugs Design

Nancy Cohen and Marion Bear are long-time friends and the dynamic duo behind 2Pugs Design. Nancy began her sewing career by making clothes for her Barbie Doll, then moved on to making life-sized clothes before being bitten by the quilting bug in 1988. Marion, another life long sewer, was a home economics teacher in the Boston school system for over thirty years. Nancy and Marion met in a quilting class in 1992 and have been friends ever since then. Together they roam the East Coast, buying fabric, visiting quilt shows and eating a lot of chocolate. 2Pugs Design came into being in the summer of 2003 when Romeo and Elvis (The Pugs) visited a craft show with Nancy and people begged to buy their embroidered bandannas right off their furry little necks. Between them, Nancy and Marion have made over 200 quilts and own ten sewing machines!
